Dedalo Minosse Cinema, promoted by ALA - Assoarchitetti is back, thanks to the collaboration with the Ordine degli Architetti Pianificatori Paesaggisti e Conservatori della Provincia di Vicenza and the Consejo Superior del CAPBA, Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.
In this second appointment Dedalo Minosse Cinema is focused on Argentina, its cinema, architects and architecture.
The occasion arises from a double anniversary: the 70th anniversary of a symbolic architecture, "Casa Curutchet", the only project by Le Corbusier in Argentina listed in UNESCO world heritage sites, and the 130th anniversary of the architect's birth.
Casa Curutchet has been the set of two argentinian films, subtitled in Italian by ALA - Assoarchitetti for the first time, that are going to be played during the event.
On June 21st in Palazzo Chiericati, the night is going to be opened with a conference given by Dedalo Minosse Cinema's director Giorgio Scianca, and Casa Curutchet's director Julio C. Santana followed by the film "La obra secreta", by Graciela Taquini.
To complete the journey around and inside the building, the film "El hombre de al lado", by directors Mariano Cohn and Gaston Duprat, will be played at the Odeon Cinema on June 22nd.
The exhibition "Le Corbusier 130/70" dedicated to the "Maestro" and to the "Opera" will be inaugurated on June 21st and can be visited free of charge until the 1st of July.
The events are an opportunity for reflection and confrontation for cinema lovers and architecture lovers, for the professionals of the camera and design, for travelers and dreamers.

The importance of Casa Curutchet in the emergent culture of the 20th century, and as an emblematic expression of the Modern Lifestyle of that time, is going to be analysed until our days, in respect of the Aleph by Jorge Luis Borges, published in 1949, the same year when the structure started to be made.

FILM "EL HOMBRE DE AL LADO"

Directed by Mariano Cohn and Gaston Duprat (2009, 103 minutes), "El hombre de al lado" is about Leonardo Kachanovsky, a famous designer that lives in a prestigious palace in La Plata, Argentina, with his wife Anna and his daughter Laura. His life is disrupted by his neighbour, that decides to open a window in front of his living room. A double fight starts with light and administrative bureaucracy. The film won a lot of prizes. 2010, Sundance Festival: best photography; 2010, Goya Prize: nomination for the best Hispanic-American film; 2010, Sur Prize: best film, director and actor; 2010, Ariel Prize: best Hispanic-American film.

EXHIBITION "LE CORBUSIER 130/70"

After 130 years from Le Corbusier's birth and after 70 years from the built of the Casa Curutchet, a photo exhibition will be displayed at Palazzo Chiericati. Created on the basis of the famous swiss architect's Modulor, the exhibition is about the argentinian project and his relationship with the territory, the client and the building process. Two videos of contemporary dance and tango filmed in Casa Curutchet are on display inside the exhibition.
